Mentality
Service Description
Mentality is one of the hardest and most difficult element to develop in ballet. This is one of the reasons ballet companies do not accept the rehearsal video for the audition but only footage of performance. Also, this element defines dancer and differentiate from ordinary people. An example at pirouettes, there are several ways to conquer the fear. If, you are scared of turning you need to think WHY you get scared. Is it because you might fall on your bottom? physical pain? or you do not want to make mistakes in front of other students? mental pain? If it is purely with physical pain that you are scared of, please check my "Technique" on the previous page. If, you are worrying about being witnessed your mistakes, then please ask your-self a question "Is there any humanbeing which does not make any mistakes?". The answer is "NO". So, the key to conquer the fear is focus on your present moment, shift your focus from worrying about what happened in past when you did the same exercise, or worrying about the future which has not happened yet. Just focus on what need to be done to complete the step as best as you can today. This is the trick I use to push my fear away from my heart and brain This trick gives you a sense of "commitment". Remember, you do not live in your past either future. "Now" and "Here". "Commit" to "Now" and "Here" to become more.
