A classical ballet costumes they look pretty, yet it is deadly uncomfortable inside. Those costumes have designed based on a traditional European clothes of corsets and to define "S bend silhouette". It still exists in wedding dress, ballet costumes and those traditional European clothes, it means the fashion and tradition created the posture, those clothes were designed to re-form and train people's posture. As my-self as a practitioner, I have been taught to keep the correct posture, yet no one actually taught me exactly what correct posture is in ballet, however the key to to the correct posture was in the tradition and in the history, as we should not forget a fact ballet is a very old traditional style of dance, hence we can often find the answers by analysing the history of it to think why and how ballet have evolved it. This is where traditional ballet technique has evolved.
